Accessible Rach

In August 2018 I was diagnosed with Primary progressive multiple sclerosis and thus since my mobility has become very limited. This of course comes with daily issues regarding accessibility and I have to rely on a mobility scooter to get around.

I started my blog in order to document my experience and hope that it may be of assistance to others. As I go to places I record within the blog what issues have arisen. I would describe my writing style as approachable, friendly and very fair.

However, since beginning this journey I have discovered that the most disappointing part of all my recent travels is I have requested information around accessibility before attending hotels, stadiums etc., and not been given the correct information.

This for me, and I’m sure for many others majorly impacts our lifestyle and is disappointing to say the least. I’d like to to help improve this.

I feel that my working background pre-MS as both a Capital Project Manager and Facilities Manager, gives me full understanding of the situation at hand.

I would like to offer a service to attend facilities as a disabled service user to report my findings to increase your service availability.

I believe this a beneficial exercise to you, but also the many people who suffer from disabilities.

If we can form a partnership to work together please do not hesitate to contact me.
